Iphone angst resolved..."I don't need no stinking warranty!'

Whew!!!! I do not care to explain how, but my Iphone took a bath recently in liquid soap. I freaked out the touchscreen froze and was unresponsive. My heart sank, what could I do I hacked the phone. Apple will not honor the warranty on an unlocked iphone. I put the phone back into its original OTB condition. I took the phone to the "Genius Bar" at Apple they looked at the water sensor damage code that is in all Iphones, they verified the damage i told them about and said it will cost 249.00 to fix the phone because Apple does not cover water damage. I was crestfallen as other patrons at the Applestore store stared at me to see if I would pay...I sulked on my way out of the door. 3 days later I went to a "DIFFERENT' store with a 249.00 mindset I truthfully explained what happened to the Iphone he checked the phone gave paper to fill out for repairs. went to the back room bought out different Iphone put my ATT Sim card in activated and said no charge and have a nice day. WOW!!!!! My faith in Apple was shook now I'm a believer. I went home and unlocked the phone and I am super happy with my Tmobile unlocked Iphone...again. If you need my help I am here for you too, call me when you need me 713-589-8947

Happy New Year

T mobile internet plans are changing for the good all the time. This is great news if you have a "modified iphone" I had been using an unlimited internet plan for 19.99 on my unlocked Treo 680 and never modified it when I switched to the Iphone. I went to Starbucks for a quick internet session and saw this plan

T-Mobile Total Internet - Add On Plan

Includes unlimited use at thousands of

T-Mobile HotSpot locations nationwide. Plan combines T-Mobile HotSpot and EDGE/GPRS T-Mobile Internet services. A T-Mobile phone or data account is required. See www.t-mobile.com for additional rate plan details. it was ALSO 19.99 The difference is it worked at T mobile HotSpot locations too. that includes my Iphone and laptop Glory Hallelujah!!!! the same price but new ways to use my devices. free VOIP services via NikoTalkie using WiFi services, if you modified the device. Call and ask for this plan while it lasts. I was going to buy a 9.95 daypass but now I simply log on to my laptop using the aforementioned plan. Peace...it is going to be a great New Year.

Batteries on steroid?

...not quite but it will seem that way when you follow these tips. When I 1st bought the Iphone and tinkered with the preferences under general settings. my battery was dead within 1 hour. If you are not using bluetooth turn it off. This is a major drain. Adjust the brightness of the screen to a lower setting. If you are a techie and have loaded an SSH client onto the device turn it off. when not in use. A huge energy saver is setting the auto-lock to 1 minute versus 5 minutes or never, this will dim your phone. Another huge drain on the battery is the E mail auto check set it for very 10 minutes and it taxes the battery, try using the once every hour setting. Try these tips and you will love the new found battery life. it will stay charged for at least 20 hours with moderate use The tweaks can be found under settings and then go to brightness, general and mail settings to apply the changes.
