New Iphone features

Hi it is the Pimpologist with another great find. I search/ read and test lots of services and applications. for the iphone well this one is practical and fun. I want to tell you about a free voicemail service...why should you try it? lets say you have your job call you with information about a an assignment trip or a change in plans, you can leave them a professional(or fun) voicemail for that incoming number and yet another one for your Mom or Pastor and still another one for your friends or "homeys" in fact you can personalize a voicemail for all your contacts and it is free. try it and have fun, the service works with T mobile,Verizon and Cingular only. I have a iphone using T mobile so I had to choose the device the resembled the Iphone best on the T mobile application page. I use it and it works just fine. I will have another review soon on unlimited free internet radio coming soon, it needs some more testing.

Batteries on steroid?

...not quite but it will seem that way when you follow these tips.When I 1st bought the Iphone and tinkered with the preferences under general settings. my battery was dead within 1 hour. If you are not using bluetooth turn it off. This is a major drain. Adjust the brightness of the screen to a lower setting. If you are a techie and have loaded an SSH client onto the device turn it off. when not in use. A huge energy saver is setting the auto-lock to 1 minute versus 5 minutes or never, this will dim your phone. Another huge drain on the battery is the E mail auto check set it for very 10 minutes and it taxes the battery, try using the once every hour setting. Try these tips and you will love the new found battery life. it will stay charged for at least 20 hours with moderate use The tweaks can be found under settings and then go to brightness, general and mail settings to apply the changes.

A Chink in the Empiire

Apple has begun selling DRM free music for over a 1.20 per track and thought it was a great idea to lock out those who would like to design 3rd party applications, there has been a salvo fired by Amazon.com, because they now offer DRM free tracks for any device and/or media player...and yes that includes seamless itunes intergration for under a dollar per track. This has( in my opinion forced ) Itunes to drop thier price from 1.29 to Amazons price. Competition is good, real good. also I hear word that Apple will have an SDK for 3rd party apps around the 1st quarter of 2008. thanks to all the hackers in forcing the Empire to see the light. I am feverishly working on using my Iphone to connect to my windows laptop to create my own adhoc internet hotspot, I will keep you posted. get free tech support by signing up for the magazine offer on this Blog and save on news stand prices. I enjoy listening to all of my music on the Iphone going thru Itunes is pretty slick and quick too,Complete Your Favorite Albums Now. $7.99 or Less. Download on iTunes now. I do have an alternative and it is using Yahoos unlimited music service(it is not Iphone compatible) this can be fixed. Try the Yahoo service free using the Free trial banner to the left. Once songs are downloaded convert them with Tunebite and then they "will" upload into Itunes with the tags and Album art,Tunebite gives you a free trial as well. You will have tons of music that is DRM free. Now 8 Gigabytes will not seem like you have enough space but I have a solution at the bottom of this page that will compress and seemingly double the size of your iphones music capacity. Music can also be streamed to your phone using DotTunes stream your music and Video this is another wonderful option. The Digital Life show was great especially if you are a gamer, i was looking for iphone application/services and I did not find much. Simulscribe provides visual voicemail for those who have tinkered with the iphone software and MobiTV said they are to begin talks later in the year to provide streaming TV to the Iphone. I had it through Palm and Tmobile, very enjoyable. I would have loved to heard more forums surrounding the Iphone. Gelaskins had some awesome Iphone covers at a great price. I was impressed with usefulness of the Motorola S9 wireless/music headset. overall the show was nice. Brickification

Well they tried to brick my Iphone (I augmented some software) I deleted all of the updater files from my computer. I made sure it will not autoupdate I did receive numerous pop ups asking if I wanted to use the latest version of Itunes. I checked the do not ask me again box...but they did, again. I am using Tmobile happily so I do not perceive an OTA install either.
